It was a big week for Apple at WWDC with the relaunch of Apple Intelligence and the long promised revamped Siri. Unfortunately for those in the EU, many of the new AI features shown at WWDC will not be available in Europe due to the laws the EU has implemented. Apple also spent some time previewing its new child protection features, which will roll out in iOS 27. Dave takes a look at some of the newest features in iOS and iPadOS.

Dave just bought his first e-bike so we talk about how the technology and the prices have changed over the past couple of years. WWDC is coming up next week and it is going to be an exciting time. Of course, the biggest news is that Gemini will now be incorporated into all of Apple’s operating systems. We also talk about the privacy issues and what Apple is going to do to avoid sharing customer information with Google.

In an article for Bloomberg, Mark Gurman makes the case for an Apple Watch reboot. He’s certainly not wrong, the Apple Watch has been stagnant for years now. Some keen people have found a new URL in the updated code pointing to a new subdomain genai.apple.com. Nothing happens when you click on it, but I’m sure after WWDC, we’ll get to see exactly what it’s for. People have been stealing iPhones since they first came out, but in London, the thieves are also starting to text threats to family members.

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference is set to kickoff on June 8 with updates to its line of operating systems. It’s also expected to include the introduction of Gemini as the backbone for Apple’s long awaited intelligence features. We also discuss some of the rumors of other features we expect to see at the conference, including updates to the camera and a new Siri based on Google’s Gemini.

Perhaps one of the best Apple Intelligence decisions I’ve ever heard, the company announced this week that users will be able to swap Apple’s AI model to a rival’s to control the new AI system. Dave and I take a look at the things Tim did right and a few things he did wrong before exploring his successor, John Ternus and what he can bring to the table.
