Sydney Film Festival has begun, and it’s bringing you the very best in queer storytelling from around the world as part of its stacked lineup of over 200 films We have to shout out the riotous Aussie animation Lesbian Space Princess, winner of the Teddy Award, the world’s oldest and most prestigious queer cinema prize, at the Berlinale earlier this year.

Rainbow Giving Australia is proud to launch the first-ever Australian edition of Sweat with Pride, a national fundraising campaign inviting individuals, teams, and workplaces to get sweaty during Pride Month this June — all in support of LGBTQIA+ health and wellbeing. Inspired by the iconic Aotearoa/New Zealand initiative, Sweat with Pride dares participants to move their bodies for 21 minutes a day throughout June.

The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir (SGLC) is excited to present “Echoes of Pride,” a celebration of diversity, resilience, and the unifying power of music, at Petersham Town Hall on Saturday, October 26. “Echoes of Pride” will feature a carefully curated selection of songs from over a decade of SGLC’s repertoire, taking audiences through the struggles, triumphs, and indomitable spirit of the LGBTQIA+ community.

On Thursday, October 17, and in the weeks before it, Australia will unite for GiveOUT Day, celebrating the remarkable efforts within the LGBTQIA+ community. Despite numerous challenges, this community continues to thrive through resilience and solidarity. This year’s GiveOUT Day highlights the strength, diversity, and impact of LGBTQIA+ organisations driving meaningful change while raising essential funds for their work.

My name is Debbie, and I’m here to show you a few things about taking care of your vaginal health.” So opens the first “Lesbian Health” segment on “Dyke TV,” a lesbian feminist television series that aired on New York’s public access stations from 1993 to 2006.

Queer Screen Film Fest is coming to lure us out of hibernation and warm our hearts with 35 fresh films representing every continent in the world. Archie completed the requirements for his achievement with the 2nd Armidale Venturer Scout Unit. He received his award from Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales and Chief Scout of NSW, at a ceremony at Government House in Sydney.
