I’m not going to go over everything Greece related as all my tips per island I’ve picked up so far are all logged here. But I do have some key favourites to add in from this summer’s trip to our beloved islands… Our perfect little bolthole at Spina.

What got the most use, the most wear and the most love from our trip to Greece. Nearly 3 weeks, one (large) suitcase, six books read and lots of outfits… Shirt, Shorts, Bikini, Sunglasses The Books Starting off with the most important suitcase component of all, without which I really would be lost; the reading material.

My love for stripes is well-documented by now I think. From the dining bench in the kitchen to the headboard in our bedroom, I have a lot stripes at home. In fact, I think you might be hard pressed to find a single room without something striped in our house. I’m not sure if it’s beach towels, summer parasols, circus tents or Twister ice lollies, but stripes have always felt inherently nostalgic to me and better yet, they are endlessly versatile. If in doubt when decorating, I stripe.

I’ve just got home from a blissful 2.5 weeks in Greece (my instagram is still there, I’m so behind with posts) and while I catch my breath and gather together a post with suitcase MVPs, books read (six) and new discoveries on the islands, I have lots of other travel content to share after a busy month.

The only upside of a very wet June so far in London has meant a lot of culture has been consumed visually speaking. Dare I say I’ve actually relished the rain a bit. I travelled a stupid amount from March - May so have been loving being predominantly home-based, or more specifically sofa-based. Double-screening is inevitable so a lot of online scrolling, searching and shopping has also been undertaken simultaneously. The results of these noble endeavours and more are below….

I’ve always been a big daydreamer, prone to staring out of rainy car windows from January onwards imagining the faster, brighter, stronger, better version of me emerging like a butterfly come June. Potentially problematic and ripe for disappointment, yes, but I can’t play down my lifelong penchant for pining for summer. And with said pining, there’s always been an element of character driven make-believe that comes into these summer musings. Who do I want to be?

Alas, these are all U.K based but hopefully one day I will have a roster of the same depth and breadth for further afield too. I’m still in the walls, floors and roof phase of purchasing for Cornwall but that doesn’t stop me from fantasising and online-window shopping on a weekly basis, mostly rotating between these favourite sources and sellers. So whether you’re in the market for a stool, a sofa or a whole house worth of bits, bypass Soho Home and save this to your little black book.

Sometimes all that idle scrolling amid airport delays and long journeys pays off and at least this way I can pretend my avid screen-shotting, searching and saving is ‘work’. And hopefully there’ll be something in this lot that resonates with you too. Turns out I do like neutral kitchens. This one designed by Noah Ruttenburg was an immediate save. Beautiful Italian knives favoured by my Aussie favourite Olive. I feel like I’ll need a set of these stripy tools in Cornwall.

What day/time/week is it again? It’s been a whirlwind that’s for sure. Milan Design Week was the marathon I knew it would be, only this year I made sure to plan proper meals with friends and spread it out across three days which is just enough but not so much that I’m on my knees by the time I get home.

I’m not good with the build up to things in some ways. I hated being engaged for example, but very happy being married. So, after over two years of hard work behind the scenes, I’m very excited today is the day my capsule collection I designed with British brand WNU is out and ready to shop. And even better, I’m still as excited to wear it as the day it formed in my mind’s eye.
