LYME, CT – The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced that Chester-Hadlyme ferry service is temporarily closed for repairs to the 76-year-old Selden III. The maintenance work comes as the state moves forward with plans to replace the historic ferry, with $8 million in federal and state funds announced last month by Gov. Ned Lamont.

LYME, CT — The time is almost here for bargain hunters, collectors and families looking for children’s toys to get their fill at the annual George House Tag Sale and Lyme Grange Toy Tag Sale on Saturday, Sept. 12.

A Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration for the Life of Jane Webb D’Arista will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Saint Ann’s Episcopal Church in Old Lyme, 84 Shore Road. A poet and an expert in international financial regulation and monetary flows, she lived in Hadlyme and Old Lyme for decades. She died early on July 4 in New London at the age of 94. A reception will follow. All are welcome.

OLD LYME, CT – Brett Eckhart, a favorite teacher at Lyme-Old Lyme High School, is going retro in a comeback concert of Radiotricity, the band he was in more than 30 years ago. The band will be performing at Hygienic Art Park in New London on Saturday, Sept. 12.
