Savedra Scott, CPA, CGMA, CrFAC, MSA, MBA, owner of Savvy Financial Solutions, has been named chair of the 2026-27 Board of Directors of the Maryland Association of CPAs. More than $21,000 was raised during the MACPA Foundation’s third annual Fairway to the Future Golf Tournament to help build the next generation of accounting and finance professionals through scholarships, student programs, mentorship opportunities, and other talent pipeline initiatives.

In honor of the MACPA’s 125th anniversary, the MACPA Foundation is investing $125,000 in scholarships and career support to help strengthen the future CPA pipeline in Maryland. As part of that commitment, the Foundation awarded $70,500 in academic scholarships to 35 accounting students attending colleges and universities throughout Maryland and beyond.
