After 5 years with my iPhone 12 Pro Max which was an amazing phone, I had every intention of going longer with it until I decided that I was tired of having such a large phone. I told my wife, who has a 12 mini, that I wanted to look into getting a smaller phone. Since the mini is no longer offered, I decided to set my sights on the 17e or 17 and with t-mobile offering some good deals on trade-ins, I chose to trade in for the iPhone 17.

I bought a refurbished iPhone 13 mini off Amazon a couple of months ago, but ever since I got it the battery has been horrible, to the point where the battery drops by over a percentage point per minute while using the phone. I assumed that part of the refurbishing process involved it getting a new third-party battery that just sucks, because battery health is reportedly at 100% and battery cycle count is at double digits.

Apple is testing four color options for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, according to a report this week from Macworld's Filipe Espósito. Based on the mockup that Macworld shared above, Light Blue looks similar to the Sierra Blue that Apple offered for the iPhone 13 Pro models in 2021. Dark Cherry would be the signature new color option for the iPhone 18 Pro models this year, following Cosmic Orange for the iPhone 17 Pro models.

Apple plans to release iPad mini and MacBook Pro models with OLED displays this year, according to industry sources who spoke to South Korea's ETNews. The current iPad mini and MacBook Pro models have LCD displays with either LED or mini-LED backlighting. The move to OLED technology would result in improved image quality, thanks to richer colors and higher contrast ratio with true blacks. Samsung will supply the OLED displays for both devices, the report said.

Help me choose between different setups (M5 Pro, 14/16 and 48/64GB)

I'm having a hard time deciding what configuration to go with so I would be very grateful for any input I'm a nature photographer and is doing a lot of work in Lightroom and Premiere primarily. Doing a lot of video in 4K (and sometimes I shoot in 8K) and my current setup struggles with this sometimes, especially video editing. (M1 Pro 16"). I'm leaning towards getting the 14" M5 Pro with 18/20 CPU and 64GB ram and also the nano texture screen.

Best monitor profile

I am looking at a pointer to either find a downloadable color profile or customize my own color profile. I had my M5 Air next to an old M3 Pro and the Pro was a bit brighter,. to be expected. However the contrast and the white color didn't seem that great on my MBA M5. Is the a color profile I can download and try or directions for how to customize a color profile. So far it seems very minor changes I can do with the color profile. Or is this the improved screen on the Pro causing this?
