Dale Power Solutions has promoted Stuart MacPhail BSc (Hons) EngTech MIET to Head of its Commercial Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) division, marking a key milestone in the company’s growth and investment in the sector. The appointment coincides with the launch of Dale’s new, expanded facility at North Orbital Business Park in St Albans, which will serve as the company’s dedicated commercial UPS product and service hub.

We’re pleased to announce that Dale Power Solutions has opened a new, expanded site in St Albans, marking a significant milestone in the continued growth of our commercial Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) division. Following sustained division success and increasing demand across key sectors, our commercial UPS operations are now based at the new St Albans location.

This week, we were delighted to welcome Alison Hume MP, the Labour Member of Parliament for Scarborough and Whitby, to our headquarters and manufacturing site in Scarborough. The visit gave us the opportunity to showcase our role in protecting national critical infrastructure and our continued commitment to skilled employment and engineering innovation on the Yorkshire coast.

As a long-established UK manufacturer of backup power systems, designing, building, installing, and servicing national critical power infrastructure, Dale Power Solutions has placed sustainability at the centre of its operations. As an expert in critical and sustainable energy solutions, the event brought together a wide range of industry professionals from across the region for an engaging afternoon focused on the future of sustainable energy and business resilience.

Dale Power Solutions is proud to celebrate the remarkable 50-year career of Ian Ellmore, whose expertise and dedication have left a lasting mark on our business. Since joining Dale in 1975, Ian has played a pivotal role in advancing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) engineering design. His career has taken him across the world, including Singapore, Indonesia, the UAE, and Malaysia, where his knowledge and commitment have supported customers and projects on a global scale.

From 7th to 9th October 2025, Scarborough Spa will host the 16th anniversary of Scarborough Science and Engineering Week (STEM Week). Since its launch, STEM Week has welcomed more than 42,000 students. This year, around 3,500 children and young people aged 10–19 from schools and colleges across the North Yorkshire Coast, Ryedale, and beyond will attend.
