The saxophone found him. In an exclusive interview with Tejano Nation, the legendary saxman recalled how being in the right place at the right time changed the course of his life.

First, we had the Galvanized Uniform that debuted against Colorado in 2024. Then, in 2025 with College Gameday in town, Texas Tech dropped the GalvanIced uniforms. Both branded with Mahomes Logo in the Adidas Era. In year three of the Adidas Era, Mahomes is going all black as the “Let’s Ride” uniform is announced for the Friday Night game against Houston on September 18th.

Throughout the summer I’m making predictions on every game on the Big 12 schedule. This will categorize games in to each of the following: Lock it in, games that should be won, toss-ups, games that should be lost, and almost no chance. Here are the schedules I have predicted so far: The Cincinnati Bearcats posted an undefeated season and reached the College Football Playoff in 2021, but have largely struggled since joining the Big 12.

Tim Tadlock and the Texas Tech Baseball team announced their 2027 schedule on Thursday. The 56 game slate includes 26 games at home, 25 games on the road and five neutral site contests. The schedule also features 26 games vs teams who made the 2026 NCAA Tournament and three contests against teams that played at the College World Series. Here is a look at the schedule: Fri. Feb. 19-Sun. Feb.

The new-look Red Raiders add an exhibition game to the upcoming schedule. With brand new faces, returners and prodigal sons on the 2026-27 Texas Tech basketball roster it might take some time to gel. With Illinois looming as the third game on the schedule in the official non-con, Grant McCasland has added a big time opponent as an exhibition. The Red Raiders will be heading to Lexington, Kentucky for a game at Rupp Arena against Mark Pope and his Wildcats on October 23rd.

Texas Tech’s dynamic playmaker and YAC machine Terrance Carter Jr. was one of two tight ends named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list. He joined Oregon’s Jamari Johnson and 43 wide receivers from across college football. For Carter, it’s the third preseason watch list along with the Mackey Award, given to the best tight end, and the Lombardi Award, presented to the top lineman or linebacker who excels at leadership, perseverance and integrity.

Basically a brand new team will be suiting up for Krista Gerlich’s Lady Raiders when they get back on the court on Thursday, November 5th against UNC Charlotte. As the team builds chemistry around the lone returning starter Jalynn Bristow they’ll have games like the opener to build up a little momentum. They’ll even have an exhibition game against San Angelo State in late October before that first official game.
