Who are we ? The Marabout adventure began in 1949 in Verviers in Belgium and it was the start of a formidable editorial adventure. From its beginnings, Marabout Editions showed great dynamism by inventing a number of new editorial formulas, tested in specific collections such as the “Marabout Junior” collection, in which the adventures of Bob Morane enjoyed great success. In all, several thousand titles have appeared in the various collections and sub-collections, such as Marabout Roman, Marabout Service, Marabout Junior, Marabout Mademoiselle, Marabout University, Marabout Scope, Marabout Fantastique, Marabout Science-Fiction, Marabout Flash… In 1983, Marabout joined the Hachette Livre group and in the 2000s became the market leader in practical books. Since 2019, more than 1,200 titles have appeared in the catalog, including 500 new releases each year. We are the publisher of François-Régis Gaudry who made you taste France and Italy, of Thibault Geoffray, Major Mouvement or Jouissance Club which came out of social networks and became real bestsellers. Beyond numbers and books, Marabout is also, and above all, great teamwork. A house of enthusiasts. From management control, to the manufacturing department, from marketing to editorial, from the communication department to the graphic studio, Marabout brings together around thirty people who work every year to innovate to offer you the books of all your desires, carried by the dynamism and joie de vivre of Elisabeth Darets, director of Marabout.
