KANSAS CITY, Mo—Midwestern Seminary celebrated the release of the new children’s book Praise God, All Creatures: A Doxology for Children, written by Midwestern Seminary Provost Jason Duesing and released with B&H Kids. “Jason Duesing is a gift to the church,” said President Jason Allen. “Whether through his books on church history or his children’s books, all that he writes proves to be helpful.

KANSAS CITY, Mo—Midwestern Seminary celebrated recent graduates from the Korean Studies doctoral program during a ceremony in Korea on April 28. Midwestern Seminary Senior Vice Presidents Jason Duesing and James Kragenbring traveled to Korea to conduct the ceremony and visit with Korean alumni and ministry partners on April 26–30. “One of the more encouraging aspects of our work at Midwestern Seminary is our many language programs, especially our Korean program,” said President Jason Allen.

KANSAS CITY, Mo—Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College celebrated the graduation of 298 students during the seventy-seventh commencement exercises on May 2. Seminary and college graduates received their degrees and heard a charge from President Jason Allen encouraging them for a lifetime of service to the Great Commission. “To gather for commencement is always a joy-filled, exhilarating occasion,” Allen said.

KANSAS CITY, Mo—Starting fall 2025, Spurgeon College students will have the opportunity to pursue three new pathways to a degree in Christian Education. Adding to the college’s growing curriculum of ministry- and marketplace-oriented degrees, the new programs include a Bachelor of Arts in Christian education and two new Accelerate tracks focused on preparing students to teach at the elementary and secondary levels.

KANSAS CITY, Mo—Midwestern Seminary hosted the fourth annual Spurgeon Library Conference on April 29, welcoming pastors, Spurgeon scholars, and seminary students to be encouraged by the ministry of Charles H. Spurgeon. Through sessions led by Joel Beeke, Thomas Kidd, and Geoff Chang, the conference focused on Spurgeon’s gospel-centered preaching. “The annual Spurgeon Library Conference is a hidden gem,” said President Jason Allen.
