The folks at a $416-billion-AUM*, soon-to-be-acquired asset manager in the state of Washington are expanding their exchange-traded fund lineup to seven funds in total, thanks to a pair of new offerings.

Last week, Ryan Issakainen, senior vice president and ETF strategist at First Trust [profile], and Jeff Chang, president of Vest Financial LLC, unveiled the launch of the FT Vest Silver Strategy & Target Income ETF (SLVY on the Cboe BZX), and Issakainen and Mike Pruzinsky, equity index product manager at Bloomberg Index Services Limited, revealed the debut of the First Trust Bloomberg Space Economy ETF (FSPC on the NYSE Arca).

Adam Patti and his team are celebrating their second big milestone for 2026 for his second ETF startup. Last week, Patti, president and CEO of VistaShares, revealed that the thematic boutique's 11-ETF product lineup has now surpassed $2 billion in AUM. That means the firm has doubled in size in less than three months, as they crossed the $1-billion-AUM line back in April.

Jonathan Krane and his team are expanding their lineup of thematic, artificial-intelligence-focused exchange-traded funds yet again, this time focusing on "the global photonic and optical AI infrastructure value chain." Yesterday (July 15), Krane, founder and CEO of KraneShares, and Derek Yan, senior investment strategist, unveiled the launch of the KraneShares Photonic and Optical ETF (LUMA on the NYSE Arca).

Mutual fund outflows shrunk by nearly 87 percent last week, to their lowest level in about five months, and ETF inflows more than doubled, according to the latest data from the folks at a mutual fund industry trade group. Yesterday, the Investment Company Institute (ICI) team reported that an estimated $66.116 billion net flowed into exchange-traded funds and long-term, open-end mutual funds in the U.S. in the week ended July 8, 2026*.
