On the morning of August 13, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a drone strike on a Russian e-commerce platform Wildberries logistics hub in Bashkortostan. Following the strike, a fire broke out at the site. Footage of the incident was published by monitoring outlets, including Exilenova+. Militarnyi’s OSINT analysis confirmed the strike on the company’s logistics facility located within the Center for Agrotechnologies agropark in the Chishminsky district of the region.

In Malbork, northern Poland, the brakes of a MiG-29 fighter jet failed during landing. TVN24 reported on the incident on the evening of August 12. Due to a malfunction, the fighter jet suffered damage to two tires, but the pilot managed to keep the aircraft under control and complete the landing. No one was injured. Polish Armed Forces Operational Command confirmed the occurrence of a dangerous situation.

The Lithuanian government has approved a decision to strengthen border defenses, including the construction of engineering barriers, the restoration of wetlands, and the digging of anti-tank trenches and ditches in case of an attack. The Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania reported this, citing a statement by Deputy Defence Minister Tomas Mickelevičius.

Russia has canceled the 5th all-russian congress of combat UAV operators, Dronnitsa-2026, which was scheduled to take place on August 29–30 in Veliky Novgorod. The event organizers announced this on their Telegram channel. They said the event would be postponed indefinitely due to the threat of a strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the UAV operators’ gathering site.

NATO is restructuring its approach to defending the eastern flank, taking into account Ukraine’s experience in the war with Russia. The German publication BILD reports this. The alliance plans to integrate drones, satellites, sensors, and strike systems into a single network, designed to accelerate the detection and repulsion of potential Russian attacks.

Ukrainian company Contra-drone has developed the D-JACK device, designed to take control of FPV drones by disrupting the link between the drone and its operator. Representatives of the company told Militarnyi about the system during the Contra drone event. Unlike conventional electronic warfare systems, D-JACK does not generate powerful radio emissions to jam the signal.

Russian forces began using a previously unknown type of kamikaze drone carrying two anti-tank mines, reported Serhii Flash, an adviser to the President of Ukraine on the development of defense technology. Visually, the drone resembles UAVs from the Molniya family. It features a fuselage formed by two booms, with a battery bay in the central section. The drone’s large wing size and empennage are particularly noticeable. Presumably, they were designed to increase lift, flight range, and gliding time.
