PEORIA, Ill. – Dream Center Peoria will be holding a special distribution of grocery and toiletry items this Friday, November 21st, as part of their local emergency relief initiative. The event will take place at Dream Center Peoria, located downtown at 714 Hamilton Boulevard, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public can drive or walk through to receive a prepared package for their family, with over 500 to be distributed. Each package will provide multiple meals.

(Reuters) -Warner Music Group has settled a copyright infringement case with artificial intelligence company Udio and will jointly launch a new platform for song creation in 2026, the companies said on Wednesday. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said touts were ripping off fans by using bots to snap up batches of tickets for coveted shows and reselling them at sky-high prices.

PEORIA, Ill. – As of 12:30 p.m., over 1,700 Ameren Illinois customers were without power in North Peoria on Wednesday. The Ameren Outage Map showed outage reports in the Alta area. Ameren said the company was notified of the outage just before 11 a.m. At the height of the midday outage, over 2,700 customers were in the dark. Ameren Illinois is investigating the cause of the power outage and has not posted an estimated time of restoration.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) has helped to secure $8 million in federal funding to build a new readiness center for the Illinois Army National Guard in Peoria. “The Illinois Army National Guard is there for our neighbors when they need help, but they’re working out of aging facilities that make their jobs harder and put at risk the mission readiness we rely on when the next disaster strikes,” Sorensen said.

PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) – A new effort aimed at reducing homelessness for men who’ve left prison has been paused in Peoria. Tuesday night, the Peoria City Council voted to put off a decision on a special use request for nonprofit Gro Community to run a halfway house on SW Adams Street. Gro officials told council members that their Reentry Community Housing Initiative has been successful in Chicago, and they want to bring the program to Peoria.
