A BLOCKBUSTER RESCUE Trump also shared new details Monday about the U.S. military’s Easter rescue of a crew member stranded in hostile territory for about 48 hours after an American F-15 was shot down over Iran on Friday. The U.S. military was able to rescue the wounded American officer from Iran and exit without casualties. Here’s how: ⬇️ SURVIVING AND EVADING: The unidentified Colonel used an encrypted radio after the crash to share his location with U.S. forces.

It’s a historic day for space travel. NASA’s Artemis II astronauts set a record Monday as the farthest humans ever from Earth during a lunar flyby. At about 1:57 p.m. ET, they surpassed Apollo 13’s April 1970 record of 248,655-mile. WATCH LIVE COVERAGE of their lunar flyby today until about 9:45 pm ET. The crew will pass behind the Moon around 6:45 pm ET, temporarily losing contact with Earth.

A search-and-rescue operation is underway for the remaining crew members from a U.S. fighter jet shot down over Iran on Friday. American forces rescued one crew member from the F-15E fighter jet, who is now safe and receiving medical care. ON THE GROUND: Iranian authorities are also searching for the missing American, reportedly offering civilians a reward of about $60,000 for information. If found, holding a U.S. service member hostage would be seen as leverage in negotiations to end the war.

Ahead of Easter this Sunday, Catholic dioceses across the U.S. are reporting some of their largest groups of new converts in years. THE NUMBERS: In Detroit, more than 1,400 people will join the Church this Easter — the highest number in over 20 years. Houston is seeing its biggest class in 15 years, while Des Moines is up more than 50% year over year.

INSIDE THE SPLIT Trump reportedly told Bondi she was being fired just before his primetime Iran address Wednesday night. It was just hours after the two were together at the Supreme Court for oral arguments on the birthright citizenship case. BEHIND THE SCENES, frustration had been building. Trump allies say Bondi was not aggressive enough in pursuing investigations into political opponents, and her handling of the Epstein files became a major issue with both parties — and especially Trump’s base.

We are just a couple hours away from what could be a major milestone for the Artemis II mission. The translunar injection burn, or TLI, will be final major engine firing that would set Artemis II on its way to circumnavigate the moon. If it’s a go, the mission could travel farther from Earth than any human ever has, breaking the Apollo program’s distance record.

Good evening, Here’s a pretty crazy story that got our attention: Everest guides are accused of poisoning climbers to trigger fake rescues. Why would they do this? Apparently, money. It’s a scheme that defrauded insurers out of nearly $20 million, affecting more than 4,700 tourists. INSIDE THE SCAM: Investigators say guides faked medical emergencies by adding baking powder, raw chicken, or rat feces to hikers’ meals to create symptoms mimicking altitude sickness.

INSIDE THE COURT Several of the court’s six conservative justices — including Trump appointees like Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch — pressed Sauer. The court’s three liberal justices also expressed skepticism. NEW WORLD, SAME CONSTITUTION: Chief Justice John Roberts, appointed by former President George W. Bush, questioned Sauer on the popularity of "birth tourism": a phenomenon where non-U.S. citizens deliver babies in the U.S. to take advantage of birthright citizenship laws.
