Gordon Brothers takes another step forward in growing LK Bennett. The U.S. group, which specializes in asset management and brand investment, has reached an agreement with IMG Licensing to drive the international expansion of the renowned British brand, which it acquired in January of this year. IMG Licensing will serve as LK Bennett’s global licensing agency to identify new partners with the aim of expanding the company’s operations into new categories and markets.

LK Bennett: Gordon Brothers se encomienda a IMG para relanzar la marca
Gordon Brothers da un nuevo paso en el impulso de LK Bennett. El grupo estadounidense especializado en la gestión de activos y la inversión en marcas ha llegado a un acuerdo con la agencia IMG Licensing para impulsar la expansión internacional de la reconocida enseña británica, que adquirió en enero de este mismo año. IMG Licensing actuará como agencia global de licencias de LK Bennett para identificar nuevos socios de cara a extender la actividad de la compañía hacia nuevas categorías y mercados.
Richemont Updates Board as It Moves Forward With Succession Planning
The Swiss luxury goods group is restructuring its board to advance its generational transition. The company has appointed Anton Rupert, son of the group’s founder, as the new non-executive co-chair of the board, to serve alongside Bram Schot, who has held the same position since 2024. As the company explained in a statement, the appointment was approved following Wednesday’s board meeting. Both co-chairs will have complementary roles.
Vietnam Bans Imports Made With Forced Labor to Meet U.S. Demands
Vietnam is cracking down on the import of products made using forced labor. Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has banned the import of products and goods extracted, produced, or manufactured wholly or partially through forced labor. The new policy took effect on September 5th. The measure aims to avoid U.S. barriers to its own exports.
G-III Reclaims Control of Its Spanish Brands as Awwg Alliance Comes to an End
Awwg’s growth plan, which involved the integration of DKNY, Donna Karan, and Karl Lagerfeld, has been put on hold. The U.S. group G-III, which in 2024 transferred distribution of its brands in Spain and Portugal to the company that owns Pepe Jeans, is ending the partnership and plans to regain control. G-III remains, for now, a shareholder in the Spanish company Awwg.
Fast Retailing Reorganizes Theory Under New Chief Executive
Fast Retailing is once again relying on an executive from within the company to restructure its senior leadership. The Japanese group that owns Uniqlo has chosen Theory’s chief financial officer to serve as the brand’s CEO. James Kelly, who until now has served as Theory’s CFO, succeeds Dinesh Tandon as the brand’s CEO. Kelly joined Fast Retailing’s headquarters in Tokyo in 2013 and was later transferred to North America.
France Slaps Boohoo With €200,000 Fine for Lack of Environmental Information
Boohoo Faces Another Fine from the French Government. The National Investigation Department, affiliated with the General Directorate for Competition, Consumer Affairs, and Fraud Control (DGCCRF), has imposed an administrative fine of €224,950 on Boohoo, the UK-based company specializing in fashion e-commerce.
El comercio retail en España crece 5,7%: la cifra más alta entre las principales economías UE
España crece por encima de la media de la Unión Europea en retail. Las ventas minoristas en el país crecieron un 5,7% en 2025, una subida de 1,5 puntos porcentuales mayor a la del año precedente. Respecto al conjunto de los 27, la subida de ventas en España se sitúa en 2,1 puntos por encima de la del resto de la Unión Europea, según datos de NIQ GfK Geomarketing presentados en su informe Retail Europeo 2025-2026.
Inditex Doubles Down on New York With Second Massimo Dutti Store, Fifth Avenue Renovation
Inditex is expanding its presence in the United States in 2026. The Spanish fashion retail giant has highlighted its growth strategy in the region, where it has already been focusing its efforts in recent years. Driven by its youth-oriented brands, Inditex will open its second Massimo Dutti store in New York this coming October, while also reopening the doors of the Zara flagship store on Fifth Avenue.
