ANCA will demonstrate a connected regrinding workflow designed to help cutting tool manufacturers extend tool life, reduce carbide consumption and improve control over every regrind cycle. As carbide costs continue to place pressure on manufacturers, regrinding has moved from a secondary service to a strategic production priority.

The assets of Model Die & Mold Inc., a longtime builder of medium- to large-sized compression molds, injection molds, carbon fiber molds and die-cast dies, will be sold through a global webcast auction scheduled for July 23, 2026.

Plastic Process Equipment (PPE), Macedonia, Ohio, has introduced a portable, battery-powered hot tip sprue cleaner for melting thermoplastics from plugged sprues and runner systems. The cordless design enables use on multiple molding machines without the restriction of a power cord. When energized, the tip heats to 350°C (660°F) within 30 seconds. The hot tip sprue cleaner provides more than 35 minutes of working time per charge and can be recharged more than 500 times.

Rego-Fix Tool Corp. showcases its toolholding solutions for manufacturers seeking enhanced precision, repeatability and reliability in their machining processes. The company will feature the original ER collet by Rego-Fix, and its PowRgrip toolholding system. The booth also features an Ed Carpenter Racing vehicle on display.

The Gardner Business Index (GBI) measures the current state of moldmaking activity through survey responses covering new orders, production, backlog, employment, exports and supplier deliveries. A reading above 50 indicates expansion; below 50 indicates contraction. The Moldmaking Index eased from April's aggressive pace but held in expansion at 53.3 in May.
