Before you set off, take a look at the Go App. You can check reviews from other electric vehicle (EV) drivers on the Scheme and view accessibility information for chargepoints on motorways and from major chargepoint operators. This gives you a clearer picture of what to expect before you arrive. So you can choose where to charge and plan your journey with more confidence.

20 August 2026 | Motoring We’ve launched Price Drop in the Go App, making it clearer when you can save on public charging. Look out for limited-time discounts and see where you could pay less when charging away from home. Finding a public chargepoint is one thing. Finding a good price is another. At certain times, participating chargepoints lower their prices when there’s extra energy available on the grid.

A bigger car boot is not always the best choice. Features like the boot opening, boot lip and boot height can be just as important as boot capacity. Choose a boot that fits your everyday life. Think about what you carry most often, whether that’s a wheelchair, mobility aid, shopping or luggage. A lower boot height can make loading easier. It can reduce lifting and make everyday journeys more comfortable. Try before you decide. Test the boot with the items you use most to make sure it works for you.

The introduction of VAT and IPT in the Government’s Autumn Budget last year has added to the cost of running the Scheme. We’ve made changes to absorb some of these costs, and to protect affordability and the all-inclusive package we know you rely on.
