MotorWeek is television’s longest running and most respected automotive series. MotorWeek debuted in 1981 and launched a new television genre by becoming the first weekly series to offer consumer-oriented car and truck reviews, do-it-yourself car care tips, and the latest auto industry news. Produced by Maryland Public Television, MotorWeek airs on 92% of PBS stations nationwide, and can also be seen on cable's MAVTV Motorsports Network and V-me Spanish-language network. The winner of dozens of prestigious automotive journalism awards, MotorWeek is a reliable source of automotive news on television and on the Web.
At the wheel from the beginning, MotorWeek host and senior executive producer John Davis who is also the series' creator. Best known for its popular Road Test reviews, MotorWeek evaluates more than 150 cars and trucks each season based on factors mattering most to consumers – price, practicality, performance and fuel efficiency. 2027 Lexus NX Update Goes All Hybrid
The NX 450h+, the PHEV, utilizes a new lithium-ion battery with 30% more energy capacity while increasing output by 8%. Gains are achieved by an improved e-Axle assembly, which incorporates the transaxle, motor and power control unit into one singular system, said to be lighter and more compact; and an increase in battery use during acceleration is said to have resulted in a more linear sensation.

JESSICA RAY: This week, our summer road trip leads us to California for a Quick Spin in the 2027 Kia Seltos. This 2nd gen Seltos is bigger than before, and as you’ve probably noticed already, looks like a scaled-down Telluride. Not a bad play on their part and executed quite nicely too. Equally well-executed is the powertrain, with a choice between the standard 147-horsepower naturally aspirated 2.0-liter I4 or a 1.6-liter turbo-4 with 190-horsepower.

It was with much controversy that the Mustang Mach-E EV bolted into Ford showrooms back in 2021. But despite all the naysayers, they zipped off the lots, and last year was still the fourth best-selling EV in the U.S., outselling the F-150 Lightning by a wide margin. Well, the Mach-E is back for 2026 with updates designed to keep it riding high. Last year, not only did the Ford Mustang Mach-E outsell the F-150 Lightning, but it also outsold the traditional Mustang Coupe.
