Disney D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event took place this past weekend in Anaheim, and it’s no exaggeration to say we’re still processing everything we heard, saw and experienced. If you were able to watch the Disney Experiences Showcase on Disney+ Saturday night, you’ve already heard all of the announcements that were made regarding the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration is over, and attention now shifts to the next two major events on the Disney calendar: The 2026 D23 Expo, and Halloween Time. While the anniversary decorations around the Resort are replaced by pumpkins and ghosts, the city of Anaheim is ready to welcome a massive influx of Disney fans.

Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration ends next Sunday, August 9, making this the last week for Disneyland visitors to enjoy some of the offerings from the celebration. As we shared last week, the music box which stood between the entrances to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure has already been removed, and decorations will continue to come down around the Resort as Halloween Time begin.

Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration officially ends in two weeks, and the Resort has already begun to remove elements of the decor package which has been in place since May, 2025.

Disneyland last week released the schedule and details for the upcoming D23 Day at Disneyland. Between arriving at park opening to grab a free ear hat and closing out the night with a free concert, it looks like fans won’t be getting much rest before the big three-day convention begins. D23 Day at Disneyland is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, the day before the 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event begins on August 14.

Many Walt Disney World guests may wonder what’s inside Cinderella Castle. The restaurant Cinderella’s Royal Table is well-known for its Disney Princess character dining, but that only accounts for the second floor at the back of the castle. What many visitors may not realize is that there’s a fully functional suite toward the top of the castle, complete with beds, a bathroom, and everything you’d expect from a luxurious hotel room, all themed to the fantasy world of Cinderella’s castle domain.

Disneyland commemorates its 71st anniversary this Friday, July 17. While the Disneyland Resort is still in the midst of the 70th anniversary “Celebrate Happy” promotion, we don’t expect much to be added to the day. While nothing has been officially announced, it appears that there will be some sort of birthday cavalcade or procession on Friday, replacing the first performance of the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade.
