The Missouri Tigers intercollegiate athletics programs represent the University of Missouri, located in Columbia. The name comes from a band of armed Union Home Guards called the Fighting Tigers of Columbia who, in 1864, protected Columbia from Confederate guerrillas during the American Civil War. From left to right, Tigers Hearnes Center, Mizzou Arena and Faurot Field. The University of Missouri (often referred to as Mizzou or MU) is the flagship institution of the University of Missouri System. Mizzou is a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and is the only NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision program in Missouri. Its wrestling program, the only wrestling program sponsored by an SEC member school, competes as an affiliate member of the Big 12 Conference. Source

2026 Mizzou Softball Golf Tournament Set for Aug. 31

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The 2026 Mizzou Softball Golf Tournament will be held Monday, August 31, at the A.L. Gustin Golf Course in Columbia. All proceeds raised at the event will support the Tigers' softball program. The tournament will feature two sessions: morning (8 a.m.) and afternoon (1:30 p.m.) alongside a luncheon reception. Individuals can register for $225, while teams of four can register for $900. There are also a multitude of sponsorship packages (that include golf) available.

Volleyball Hosts Fast 4 Show Me Love Nights

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou volleyball will host four Fast 4 Show Me Love Nights over the course of July, starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at Hearnes Center. The Fast 4 Nights feature an hour of learning, competition and fast-paced volleyball action with the Mizzou coaching staff. The event will be split into two sessions: girls ages 8-14 from 6-7 p.m., followed by girls ages 15-18 and all boys from 7-8 p.m. Register for the event here; each session will cost $15 at the door.
