Greetings! Welcome to this Fall edition of the Monday Gate Drop Column, which as always is brought to you by the fine people at Yamaha Motor Canada. This is a big week for Blu Cru riders as this weekend is the Yamaha Rider Appreciation Day at Sand Del Lee. On Saturday, Blu Cru riders from Ontario and Quebec will converge on the beautiful SDL track to ride, bench race, be treated to lunch, and test ride some of the new 2027 YZ models.

Julien Beaumer Captures 250SMX Class Win for KTM Sweep LOS ANGELES (September 19, 2026) – The penultimate race of the 2026 Monster Energy SMX World Championship saw the series return to Southern California for Playoff 2 inside Dignity Health Sports Park, where abundant sunshine provided drastically different track conditions from last weekend’s rain-drenched postseason opener. Double points were on the line, providing an opportunity for a shakeup in the Playoff standings.

Dylan Rempel qualified well this past weekend, but struggled a little on the muddy track. MXP: Hey Newf! What were your thoughts on how Dylan Rempel’s day went in Columbus? Also, how long does his Quad Lock Honda deal last. Will he be heading to Australia to race in that series next month? RL: It was a rough showing for Dylan. It seemed like anything that could go wrong did. Big crash on the first lap of free practice on Friday but he did rebound and qualified 4th Saturday morning in the mud.

Our sport today is more competitive than it’s ever been. Whether you’re a pro rider looking to get on the podium in the Triple Crown Series, or even a beginner rider who just wants the best bike possible, teams, riders, and parents are constantly looking for any performance advantage possible. Tyler has been battling through some injuries lately, but that hasn’t stopped him from finding success.

Newf feels that the Blackwater MX track could host another round of the Triple Crown Series. MXP: Hey Newf! We saw that the Future West MX Series visited the Blackwater track, located just outside the city of Prince George, BC. This track hosted several rounds of the Triple Crown Series not that long ago and the racing was always entertaining.
