Several Replacement Riders to Line Up for WSX Season Opener in Canada
Several replacement riders will line up for the opening round of the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) in Canada. Due to injuries and scheduling conflicts with other racing commitments, a number of teams have adjusted their rider line-ups for the season opener. At Quad Lock Honda, Dean Wilson will replace Joey Savatgy. MotoConcepts Racing has drafted in Mike Alessi to stand in for Enzo Lopes, while Luke Neese will race for 595 Racing as the replacement for Hector Assunção.

The entry lists for this weekend’s MXGP of Belgium in Lommel have been released, and alongside the regular MX2 and MXGP riders, there are several notable names. In MX2, Lotte van Drunen is joined by Scott Smulders, who returns to the entry list. In MXGP, Andrea Bonacorsi returns from injury, as previously reported, while Jorgen-Matthias Talviku has been added to the list as the replacement for the injured Alberto Forato.

The Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team continued to make progress during the MXGP of the Czech Republic in Loket. Despite a weekend that included its fair share of setbacks, Jeremy Seewer, Rick Elzinga and Noel Zanocz all showed encouraging pace on the technical and demanding circuit. Jeremy Seewer enjoyed a promising start to the weekend. The Swiss rider qualified seventh in the timed practice session and finished sixth in the qualifying race, once again demonstrating his strong speed.
