Saint-Sauveur, le 15 juillet 2026 – Le FASS est très heureux d’accueillir, en clôture du festival, le célèbre Royal Winnipeg Ballet avec trois pièces d’horizons variés : šɛgatəm, Odyssey et Who cares ? le samedi 1er et dimanche 2 août à 20 h sous le grand chapiteau. Chorégraphié par Cameron Sinkwə Fraser-Monroe sur une musique de Jeremy Dutcher, šɛgatəm(prononcé shAY-ga-tum) rend hommage à la résilience et à la détermination de la nation Tla’amin.

This year’s Indian Summer Festival demonstrates a beautiful truth: inspiration is all around. In the two concerts I attended, artists reinterpreted words from the songs they heard growing up, sampled melodies from film soundtracks, and translated the natural bioelectric signals of plants into audible sound. These concerts (seen July 11 & 13) offered a look into artists’ connections with their cultures, friends and family, and the natural world.

The Calgary Philharmonic is pleased to announce Canadian conductor Ilan Kumaranayake Mendel will take to the podium as the Orchestra’s next Resident Conductor, beginning in the 2026/2027 Season. Mendel was selected as Resident Conductor of the Calgary Phil following a rigorous audition and interview process with applicants from across Canada.
