The NAFB was founded in 1944 as the National Association of Radio Farm Directors (NARFD). It added Television to its name in 1955 to become NATRFD. The next name change came in 1964 to simply, NAFB. Most recently in 2005, the name was changed to the National Association of Farm Broadcasting. Source

Broadcast Council Broadcast Council membership is available to those individuals who voice audio and/or video broadcasts designed to serve the agricultural and/or rural lifestyle audience(s). Sign-Up Management & Sales Council Sales managers, general managers and owners of broadcast entities are eligible to join NAFB when they have a member broadcaster.
