Russian task group arrives Algeria for exercise

Philippine Navy receives Mistral 3 SAMs for two frigates
The Philippines has received its first-ever surface-to-air missiles, which will be deployed on the country’s two missile-capable frigates, according to domestic media outlets. Surface-to-air missiles known as Mistral 3 were delivered to the Subic Bay International Airport on October 8 in preparation for deployment on the Philippine Navy frigates BRP Jose Rizal and BRP Antonio Luna.
French frigate seizes 3.6 tons of drugs in the Indian Ocean
The French frigate FS Languedoc has made its second drug seizure in the Indian Ocean in less than a week, seizing more than 3.6 tons of illegal substances during a maritime counter-narcotics operation in the Indian Ocean on Monday. China to procure 36 Ka-52K Katran helicopters from Russia

The Chinese side will import 36 Ka-52K Katran or Ka-52M heavy-armed helicopters from Russia for $20 million each, which will directly equip the Chinese Navy’s amphibious ships, according to Hong Kong Phoenix TV.
