The annual sexual violence awareness event, Take Back the Night, provided students an opportunity to march for increased prevention and response efforts on Wednesday. This event marks 23 years since it was established at Saint Mary’s and continues to be led by students and the Belles Against Violence office.

As Holy Cross College shifts its annual giving efforts to surround a showcase of student-led initiatives, one such project is focusing on what students throw away and what it could become. Senior biology major Nicolet Zabuna and junior mathematics major Janysse Barrera-Zelaya are leading a project aimed at reducing dining hall waste, while creating a campus garden to provide fresh and sustainable food.

Notre Dame sophomores Izzy Engle and Annabelle Chukwu are sophomores in name only. The superstar forwards play beyond their years. On Saturday, Notre Dame Stadium will add another artist to this listing, hosting Luke Combs on his “My Kinda Saturday Night” tour.

Since being rebranded in 2024, the University of Notre Dame’s Office of Admissions has hosted The Rally, it’s admitted students weekend for the incoming freshman class. This year, official programming for the Class of 2030 is scheduled from this Sunday through Monday, with an optional early check-in Saturday. The University expects to welcome over 1,700 admitted students this weekend, Micki Kidder, vice president of admissions, wrote in a statement to the Observer.

In the age of financial greed, artificial intelligence and a yearning for nostalgia, the magic of the film industry has been quietly vanishing without us noticing. Hollywood has traded creative risk for financial safety, slowing the development of innovative cinema and new ideas. Originality is outdated, and repetition is trending.
