Mackenzie Foy is known for her roles as the daughter of Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) in Twilight and as young Murph in Interstellar. This Friday, audiences get to see the actress as the lead in The Isolate Thief, starring opposite Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring). Set during the Civil War, The Isolate Thief follows Adeline (Foy), an isolated young woman who has to outwit a band of outlaws.

The Evil Dead franchise is getting a new movie with Evil Dead Burn, which follows a young woman spending time with her in-laws after the death of her husband. To make things worse, a dark entity turns everything upside down. Directing the film is Sébastien Vaniček, and it stars Luciane Buchanan (Netflix’s The Night Agent), Hunter Doohan (Netflix’s Wednesday), and Souheila Yacoub (Climax). Filmmakers are inspired by the films before them.

Amuse Creative Studio, a subsidiary of Amuse, Inc., focused on entertainment IP creation, development, and cross-media adaptations, hosted a special launch panel during Anime Expo 2026 to showcase two new anime titles slated for release next year. Its parent company, Amuse, Inc., manages top talent like BABYMETAL and Perfume and has co-produced projects including Your Name (2016), the Rurouni Kenshin live-action franchise, Midnight Diner, and the award-winning Kokuho (2025).

We had the pleasure of sitting down with the Japanese voice actors of The Apothecary Diaries, Yuki Aoi (Maomao) and Takeo Otsuka (Jinshi), during Anime Expo 2026 for a lovely chat before their official panel held at the Peacock Theater later that same day.

She wishes to meet her biological father before the big day and invites three men who were mentioned in her mother’s diary.

The finale of season 2 ended with a huge cliffhanger as we see Juliette and Bernard inside an airlock, with an explosion. The show then flashes back to Washington, D.C., centuries earlier, leaving viewers guessing whether Juliette survived. In the season 3 premiere of Apple TV+’s Silo, Juliette has amnesia, leading to her becoming the mayor of the silo. Memory is one of the important themes for this season’s Silo.

After coming out swinging with one of the strongest anime debuts of 2025, Gachiakuta is already getting ready for its next big step. With Gachiakuta Season 2 already in development, Anime Expo gave fans their first real look at what’s coming next for Rudo, the Cleaners, and the ugly, fascinating mess that is the Pit. Based on Kei Urana’s manga, Gachiakuta did not take long to separate itself from the rest of the shonen crowd.

The 2026 Fantasia Film Festival is right around the corner, which means one thing: my watchlist is already getting out of hand. That is kind of the fun of Fantasia, though. Every year, the festival puts together this wild mix of horror, action, animation, crime, drama, weird comedy, and films that don’t really sit cleanly in one lane. It’s exciting, but it can also be a little overwhelming.

So, I should probably get this out of the way first: I’m not great at fighting games. I mean, I like them. I can have a good time with them. However, am I the kind of player who can walk up to a setup, learn three systems in five minutes, and start embarrassing people? Not even close. That said, I’m a huge Marvel fan, so when Arc System Works, Marvel, and PlayStation announced Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, I was in.
