Fast forward sixteen years, Jacob Chase (Come Play), alongside co-writer David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick bestow upon us another terrifying story from the nightmarish, nether realm.

Amazon MGM Studios released a new trailer for Verity today, one day after unveiling a stormy poster that came with a line practically engineered for screenshots: a writer’s words should be honest, bloody, and a little bit terrifying. Between the two, the studio has made its pitch clear. This is not a cozy literary drama. This is a psychological thriller with claws.
