Images and comments from the users of Huawei phones are popping up on the internet lately. If you haven’t seen any of them, they are basically about the phones flagging the Google app as a virus. To be exact, the notification on the Huawei phones says, “Security threat. Google appears to be affected. Immediate uninstallation is advised.” This notification comes with a button to uninstall the Google app.

Microsoft’s Windows 11 brings the Start menu to the center of the screen. The new version contains a chatbot called Copilot that bears some resemblance to startup OpenAI’s popular ChatGPT. Copilot is a generative artificial intelligence that can create human-like text and other content with just a few words of human direction.

OnePlus Watch 2 is expected to launch soon. The smartwatch is said to offer a battery life of up to 14 days. Although the OnePlus Watch 2 launch date has not yet been announced officially, details about the smart wearable have surfaced online previously. A launch timeline of the watch had also been tipped earlier.

While we don’t get this phone, OnePlus is working on a new mid-range phone for the Nord series. In fact, this device is not exactly “new”, but has a “new” name. The company is adopting the strategy of rebranding its own releases, and will re-launch the OnePlus Nord 30 as OnePlus Nord N30 SE.

Vivo X100 series is expected to launch soon. It is said to succeed the Vivo X90 lineup, which was unveiled in China in November 2022. Like the preceding series, the Vivo X100 series is likely to include three models – the base Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro+. Several details of these phones have surfaced online over the past few weeks. Vivo has not yet confirmed a launch date for the new series.

A team at Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science has developed a technique to enhance chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy in solid tumors. The technique involves engineering E. coli bacteria, that naturally tend to accumulate in the immune privileged core of solid tumors. The bacteria have been engineered to interact with tumor cells and deposit a synthetic antigen on the cells that can then be targeted by CAR T cells.

A California jury has found that Tesla was not at fault for a fatal 2019 crash that allegedly involved its Autopilot system, in the first US trial yet for a case claiming its software directly caused a death. The lawsuit alleged Tesla knowingly shipped out cars with a defective Autopilot system, leading to a crash that killed a Model 3 owner and severely injured two passengers, reports.

Vivo X100 series comprising — Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro+ — is expected to go official soon. Vivo is yet to confirm the arrival of new X series handsets, but ahead of it, the Vivo X100 has been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform with the model number V2309A. The listing suggests that Vivo X100 runs on the yet-to-be-announced MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC.
