Nexans announces a new organizational structure, effective from 17th January 2025 under the leadership of Christopher Guérin, Chief Executive Officer. This change is designed to accelerate profitable growth, and aligns with the Group’s ambitions outlined during the recent Capital Markets Day. The new organization positions the Group for the next strategic cycle, and drives innovation in PWR-Grid and PWR-Connect markets.

Nexans secures new project under TenneT framework agreement The project involves the EPCI of 250 km of HVDC XLPE technology cables for the LanWin 2 offshore grid connection system, transmitting 2GW of offshore wind energy from the German North Sea to the mainland This 1 billion euros project strengthens Nexans’ position as a key player in the European offshore wind market.

Nexans has been awarded a substantial contract by Svenska kraftnät to deliver 320 km of high-voltage subsea and onshore cables for the Gotland Connection project in Sweden. The project will address growing electricity demand on Gotland, ensuring reliable energy supply for the island. Scheduled for completion by mid-2030, the project will play a key role in supporting Sweden’s renewable energy transition goals.

But one of the most exciting applications is its emerging role in electrification – a field where small errors can lead to costly consequences. How is AR transforming various industries?

RTE has contracted with five suppliers – Prysmian, Nexans, NKT-SolidAl and Hellenic Cables – to secure underground power cables supplies for its projects until 2028. Worth a total of almost one billion euros (€), this commitment covers the supply and installation of around 5,200 kilometers of underground cables for voltage levels ranging from 90,000 to 400,000 volts.
