With the 2026 NFL Season right around the corner, teams across the league are gearing up for training camp later this month, and soon enough, we'll make our way through preseason action. Training camp is definitely an unofficial 'start' to the season, as this is when the pads come on and where coaches and front offices begin to make tough roster decisions. And for all 32 teams, they're thinking Super Bowl.

Assuming everyone stays healthy, the 2026 NFL MVP race could be one of the most intense in recent memory. Entering the 2026 season, the league is set to be as competitive as fans have ever seen it. There were already 15 teams with a winning record last season, and out of the teams with a losing record, one of them was a division winner, multiple had major quarterback injuries, and still, 21 teams had 9 losses or fewer.

Without top quarterback play, no NFL team is going to sustain any sort of success in this league. Fortunately, for a few teams, they're in a great spot, as they have the best quarterbacks in the planet on their side. But when you take a broader look at the league, there might not be more than 10 legitimate, unquestioned franchise quarterbacks in the league right now.

The 2026 NFL offseason may be in its home stretch, but the blockbuster deals might not be done. Maybe far from it. The offseason has already included some incredible trades in both conferences, perhaps even a handful that will ultimately have Super Bowl implications. And because of that, teams are going to know very soon -- as their 90-man rosters hit the field for training camp and preseason games -- whether or not they've got what it takes to compete with the best of the best.

This offseason did bring us some major trades, and it does seem like teams are getting more aggressive in trying to build a contender. This is surely going to spill into the 2026 NFL Season, as the trade deadline can bring even more moves. I am of the belief that Tom Brady signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in the 2020 offseason really spurred this era of roster-building aggression, as teams have not been afraid to make a major move since then.

I am not sure many people expected teams like the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears, for example, to win their respective divisions in the 2025 NFL Season, but it happened, and it was quite something. The 2026 season could also bring more of the same, as it does truly seem like the NFL is getting more and more competitive as the seasons go on.

The NFL offseason has finally rounded third base, and is headed toward the home stretch. Soon, all 32 teams will be back out onto the practice fields for training camp, and football season will officially be upon us. And before teams get their 90 -man rosters out onto the field and in pads, we're going to do our best to rank every roster around the league, worst to best.

It's really anyones guess as to what will happen in the 2026 NFL Season, but that isn't a bad thing. If the pattern from 2025 remains in 2026, we'll see two non-playoff teams from this past season in the Super Bowl this year. The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks were both out of the playoffs in 2024, yet represented each conference in the Super Bowl.

The NFC already includes the reigning Super Bowl champions, a division that had three teams with 12 or more wins last season, and a division without a single losing record in 2025. And the conference got substantially better in 2026. With NFL training camps now approaching rapidly, it's time to take another look at some of the top new additions for every NFC team in 2026. Which newcomers are set to make the biggest impact, and whose debut will be the most anticipated around the conference?

In 2024, the NFC North sent three teams to the NFL playoffs. The 15-2 Detroit Lions were the conference’s top seed, and the 14-3 Minnesota Vikings and 11-6 Green Bay Packers were wild card entries. All three clubs were one-and-done come the postseason. This past season, the 14-3 Seattle Seahawks were the top seed in the NFC, followed by the 12-5 Los Angeles Rams and 12-5 San Francisco 49ers. All three teams won at least one playoff contest.
