Heat advisory issued for CT as temps could feel hotter than 100 this week

Arnold Gold/Hearst Connecticut Media Connecticut is in for another — albeit brief — spell of heat this week that could make temperatures feel like more than 100 degrees. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for most of the state for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Serious crash closes Danbury road at Ridgefield border Monday morning, police say
DANBURY — A serious crash has closed a local road on Monday morning, city police said. The Sugar Hollow Road crash caused a closure from Bennetts Farm Road in Ridgefield through Miry Brook Road, Danbury police said in a Facebook post. Police said they expected the road to be closed between three to four hours, and asked drivers to use an alternative route. Police said alternative routes are George Highway and Route 53. There was no further information on the crash as of 6:30 a.m. Monday.
