Notinet de Cuba (NNC)

Newspaper, Online/Digital
The Notinet de Cuba or NNC ─originally called Notinet del Cubaweb─ , is one of the first informative sites of the Cuban Radio and TV System. It was inaugurated on January 21, 1998 , following the visit of Pope John Paul II to the island. Conceived as a special site for exclusive news onnational events that would function as an alternative virtual space to the Radio Reloj station, its different pages reflected transcendental moments in history from an essentially informative point of view. A first version of this project was launched from the Cubaweb platform, Cuba's official site on the network of networks at that time. Later, its technological infrastructure migrated to servers of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television. Currently, Notinet maintains its current original projection, prioritizing as a fundamental objective the publication of national news content and providing other value-added services related to current affairs in the country. In a second stage of its development for this year 2020, it is intended to incorporate advanced tools to provide a better recovery of published audiovisual journalistic materials. Source
