Cruisin for a Bruisin’ is a high-octane eight-part web series blending contemporary dance, a bogan soundtrack, regional rivalry and a gloriously unhinged dose of Australian absurdity. Game Review: Halo – Campaign Evolved
2026 has been a year full of ups and downs for the industry, yet here I am able to review a fully remade Halo game on the PlayStation 5. It’s a perk not lost on me, as I remember my 13-year-old self watching my cousins play Halo when they first got their Xbox systems at the turn of the century. Funnily enough, as a teenager the graphics seemed out of this world.
The cast and creatives behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day talk following up No Way Home and Sadie Sink’s mysterious character
It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.
Streaming Review: Masters of the Universe
The 80s were a special time, and none more special than racing to the loungeroom on a Saturday morning for your favourite cartoon series. Towards the top of the list for so many of us was Masters of the Universe. Originally designed as an action figure to appeal to boys of the early 80’s He-Man quickly became a phenom as he battled evil forces that were trying to destroy his home of Eternia.
Trailer : Avengers Doomsday
An all-new trailer and poster for “Avengers: Doomsday,” has been released. The December 17 theatrical release will see Marvel’s greatest heroes reunite since the record-breaking Avengers End Game in 2019. While much has happened in the MCU since that date with countless streaming TV shows on Disney +, animated shows, and several movies, it is largely unknown the specific details of this film outside of the fan favourite Robert Downey Jnr returning as Doctor Doom.
Cinema Overload: The MIFF 2026 Program is Here and We are Obsessed
It is officially our favourite time of the year. The days are short, the Melbourne wind is biting, and the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) has just unveiled a 2026 program so massive it practically requires its own GPS. At Novastream, we live for this. There is a specific kind of magic in huddling into a darkened theatre at ACMI or The Capitol while the city shivers outside, and this year’s 74th edition is bringing more than 300 screen works to make that hibernation worth it.
