Why are Gun Control Groups Scared of SCOTUS? We Couldn’t be More Excited
Back to News July 7, 2026 I’ve got to be honest. I had mixed emotions when the U.S. Supreme Court announced it was going to hear arguments challenging bans on the sale of Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs). First, I was downright giddy. Then, with a sigh, I thought, “It’s about time.” In fact, NSSF used the word “elated” in our statement upon hearing that Viramontes v. Cook County and Grant v. Higgins will be heard by the Supreme Court in the next session.
Virginia MSR Ban Fizzles While Sales Boom
Back to News July 6, 2026 No one wants to be the “told you so” guy, but here we are. We told you so. Virginia’s Gov. Abigail Spanberger and her gun control lackeys in the Assembly rushed through a half-cooked unconstitutional ban on the sale of Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs) and other commonly owned firearms and standard capacity magazines. Once again, predictions of a rush to buy the guns Virginians (and the rest of America) want bore out.
America 250: NSSF Celebrates the Industry That Forged Freedom
Back to News July 1, 2026 This Independence Day, the United States of America marks 250 years since patriots declared that liberty is not granted by government. It is an unalienable right, endowed by our Creator. That anniversary is about more than fireworks, flags and patriotic songs. It is a celebration of a nation born in defiance of tyranny and sustained by free citizens willing to defend what is theirs. America’s firearm and ammunition industry belongs at the center of that story.
