Since 2019–20, the league has covered the Isle of Man, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, northern Staffordshire, northern Shropshire, the far west of West Yorkshire, and the High Peak area of Derbyshire. Week 5: Manager Quotes
Premier Division: Amidst another busy weekend of action in the NWCFL, Barnoldswick Town showed great resilience to come back from behind more than once in a 3-2 win against table-topping Burscough. Following the game, joint manager Gerry Harrison said: "It was a close game, and we fought hard. Both teams enjoyed good periods throughout. "Picking up our first three points of the season is testament to the hard work that the lads have put it since Lewis and I have come in.
Geoff Wilkinson steps down as NWCFL Vice Chair
A change at the top of the League was announced at the AGM last weekend as Vice Chairman and Grading Chairman Geoff Wilkinson has decided to take a step back from his current roles. Geoff advised League Chairman Chris Stirrup and Secretary John Deal early in January that he would be reducing his time spent on League duties. He has been involved with the League since 1982 (the very first season!) when he was promoted to Referee on the League.
NWCFL | Week 5: Summary
PREMIER DIVISION . We have a new leader in the Premier Division with Nelson moving to top spot after a 5-2 win over Abbey Hey. Max Cane hit a first half hat-trick to help put them 4-0 ahead at the break, and they increased this lead in the second half before Abbey grabbed two late consolation goals. Previous leaders Burscough twice led at Barnoldswick Town, but the home side turned things around with Kuda Chingwaro hitting what proved the winner with 18 minutes remaining.

Are you looking for a job at one of our clubs? A number of vacancies have arised at a couple of our clubs that you may be interested in. First Division North side Garstang have two roles, one being a First Team Match Co-ordinator and the other being a Media Assistant. First Division South side Crewe are looking for a Sports Therapist or Physiotherapist, with the possibilty of developing their own sports therapy/physiotherapy service from the club.
