Bronx Residents are invited to experience the seasonal beauty across our 250 acres, free of charge. Find out what’s beautiful now and explore the winding trails of our old-growth forest and stately conifers throughout the Garden. Dig deeper into our collections with mobile guides and enjoy a self-guided forest bathing experience. Bring the whole family for seasonal fun throughout the grounds and in the Edible Academy. The Grounds Access Pass is available Tuesday–Sunday and holiday Mondays.

Elsewhere in the Garden, find classic VW buses colorfully decorated for the perfect photo op! Museum Building Gallery Step back in time with an extraordinary display of paintings, photographs, screenprints, and collages by artists from the 1960s and ‘70s that depict flowers as symbols of peace and love.

The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic's Concrete Jungle
Mr. Flower Fantastic is one of the most in-demand floral artists in the world, known for transforming flowers into bold, sculptural works that blend art, fashion, and pop culture. He grew up in Queens, New York, where his love of flowers began in his mother’s garden. Over time, he taught himself floral design and began experimenting across creative mediums, eventually merging his passion for sneakers with his floral work.

Why are there so many acorns this year? Do they predict a harsh winter?
Like many trees, oaks have irregular cycles of boom and bust. Boom times, called “mast years,” occur every 2-5 years, with smaller acorn crops in between. But the why and how of these cycles are still a mystery. Scientific research can tell us what a mast year is not. A mast year is not a predictor of a severe winter. Unfortunately, plants and animals are no better at predicting the future than we are. Strangely, mast years are not simply resource-driven.
