We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of David Gowland, the much-loved artistic director of the Jette Parker Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House in London. David was an exceptional person whose warmth, talent, and dedication touched the lives of so many. As the programme’s founding artistic director, serving from 2001 until 2026, David helped nurture the careers of more than 150 singers, conductors, directors, and répétiteurs.
