The public is encouraged to provide comments on proposed changes to Georgia’s Protected Species List through Sept. 20, 2026, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division has announced. Public input is important and valuable in developing and implementing state regulations. The Protected Species List includes Georgia species considered most in need of conservation. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources periodically reviews the list and recommends revisions as needed.
