Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out at the Unit-I market in Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning, reducing at least two shops to ashes and causing extensive damage to other structures. According to sources, the fire erupted in one of the shops and the flames quickly spread to the neighbouring outlets. While two shops were completely destroyed in the incident, there was no report of injury to anyone. On being informed, teams from Bhubaneswar Fire Station reached the spot promptly.
5 Workers Critical After Explosion At NTPC Plant In Odisha
Talcher: At least five workers sustained severe burn injuries after an explosion at NTPC’s Kaniha plant in Odisha’s Anugola district in the early hours of Saturday. According to preliminary information, a massive explosion took place at the coal bunker (B) of the plant located in Pallahara area when work was in progress at the site. The explosion left at least five workers grievously injured. They were immediately rushed to a hospital in Talcher for treatment.

Bhubaneswar: At least three workers were injured after the roof of an under-construction gate collapsed at the College of Agriculture under Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar on Friday. According to information, several workers were engaged in casting the roof of the main gate when the centring suddenly gave way. Sources said over ten workers were engaged at the site when the mishap took place and three of them allegedly sustained injuries.
