Ram has unveiled the newest entry in the TRX, a pickup that it calls the most powerful production street legal half-ton vehicle in the world. According to a Jan. 1 announcement, the new TRX is the first production vehicle from the relaunched SRT Performance Division. This pickup boasts a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 delivering 777 horsepower and 680 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine helps the TRX go from 0-60 mph in a mere 3.5 seconds. It then reaches 118 mph.

The Honda Prelude returns for the 2026 model year, bringing with it more high performance parts as Honda advances the “joy of driving.” According to a press release, the sports coupe will feature chassis hardware from the performance-focused Civic Type R. This includes a dual-axis strut front suspension, wide front and rear tracks, and large brakes. The Prelude boasts 13.8-inch diameter front rotors and 12.-inch rear rotors. These pair with Brembo four-piston aluminum calipers.

Ford kicks off a new era on Sept. 4 by tearing down the wall between its divisions. A key part of this process is changing Ford Performance into Ford Racing. The new era of Ford Racing involves going back to the classic light blue oval, as well as a block font. No longer will the company use the dark blue and red that made up the Ford Performance logo. To complete the work, Carr turned to Oxford-based company Electrogenic, which handles multiple conversions for A-list celebrities. The company took the 1967 DB6 and added a battery delivering 200bhp (150kW) of power. According to Electrogenic, the modified DB6 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds.

Mercedes-AMG used a high-speed test track in Italy to shatter 25 records with its Concept AMG GT XX EV. This includes traveling “around the world” in fewer than eight days. Mercedes-AMG set out to travel 40,075 kilometers (24,901 miles) in only eight days while showcasing the durability of the AMG electric drivetrain. This distance is equivalent to the Earth’s circumference at the equator. The company surpassed its goal with two different vehicles.
