Welcome to the Summer Thread for the week of 7/13. Hey, the summertime crickets are really starting to chirp now. If anyone comes across some Predators news feel free to share in the comments. Meanwhile, apparently it is more interesting to the Network to watch athletes and celebrities play golf in Tahoe than the B list play golf in Louisville. Just a reminder – we’re always looking for new people to chat with and to be part of our community.

Welcome to the Summer Thread for the week of 7/6. Well, we’re about to begin that time of year. Unless something strange happens, it will largely be crickets until we get closer to training camp. My major question is how exactly we are going to get our roster down to compliance. Some folks are going to have to go or be exposed to waivers. I’d love to understand the plan. Just a reminder – we’re always looking for new people to chat with and to be part of our community.

Welcome to the Summer Thread for the week of 6/29. What a good draft! Wyatt Cullen was the player I hoped for going in (and no not for the Cullyfan handle or my jersey!). He has a lot of potential and a high ceiling. As one of the youngest in the draft, he may not be done growing. With our other picks we got both a RHD and goalie with solid potential and a number of we’ll wait and sees. The Free Agency period begins Wednesday.

Welcome to the Summer Thread for the week of 6/22. Times are beginning to get interesting. The Carolina Hurricanes had their parade. Many Caniacs lined the streets and parking garages of downtown Raleigh. I wonder if our visiting Caniac was there? The Tkachuk brothers are going to be reunited in Florida and Ottowa got a large number of high picks in return. The NHL draft begins Friday. Everyone has seemed to predict a different selection for the Predators. Fingers crossed here.

Welcome to the Playoff Thread for the Stanley Cup Final games in the week of 6/8. Boy do we have an entertaining series going with the Vegas Golden Knights and the Carolina Hurricanes! The roller coaster between amazing good play and amazingly bad play is an E ticket ride. That’s not even mentioning the weird bounces and friendly fire goals! Welcome to the Playoff Thread for the Stanley Cup Final games in the week of 6/1. The conference finals are behind us, and it’s all on the line for the Vegas Golden Knights and the Carolina Hurricanes. We have ex-Predators on both sides, so it’s a win/win for me. However I really have to root for Rod to finally get his Cup as a coach. Should be a fun series! Just a reminder – we’re always looking for new people to chat with and to be part of our community.

Happy US Memorial Day to all. Today we honor those who gave their lives for freedom. Welcome to the Playoff Thread for the games in the week of 5/25. The conference finals sure have been strange. As I prepare this, Vegas and Colorado are headed into the third tied at three. Colorado dominated the first, then forgot how to hockey in the second. Meanwhile, Carolina and Montreal look like they are at the racetrack.
