Starting on Sunday 7th September at 8.10 pm on BBC One (excluding Northern Ireland) and available on iPlayer, the first episode sees Freddie head to Liverpool to persuade local kids to give cricket a try – but he faces a tough crowd.

Supporting adult learners’ mental health

Law grad Krishangi makes history once again

Still only 21, Krishangi recently qualified as a lawyer and had her history-making milestone featured in The Law Society Gazette (bottom of page 11). The young scholar-turned-solicitor, who lives in UEA, began her studies with The Open University at just 15 years old.

OU’s Open Business Creators Fund awards £30,000 to small businesses
Posted on 29 July 2025 • University news The Open University (OU) has granted a total of £30,000 to 20 student-led businesses through its Open Business Creators Fund. The fund, which is co-funded by Santander Universities and the Higher Education Innovation Fund, provides crucial financial support to small and aspiring businesses owned by OU students and alumni. 350 budding entrepreneurs signed up to the fund this year, with 130 submitting their entry to be considered for a grant.
