LOS ANGELES, CA – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced the newly appointed chairs and vice chairs for its 2026-2027 committees and affinity groups, including appointments to the new Academy Marquee Theater Committee. The Academy’s committees and affinity groups bring together members to advance key initiatives, inform Academy policy and programs and serve the interests of its membership. All chairs and vice chairs serve one-year terms.

The governors will take office at the first scheduled board meeting of the new term. In February 2026, the Board approved a bylaws amendment that ensures equity in board representation among branches.
