OKLAHOMA CITY – The new Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City has received initial accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), allowing the program to begin recruiting its first class of residents. The residency will last four years and have six residents per class, beginning in July 2027.

The Gallogly College of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma has launched a new Online Graduate Certificate in Bioprocessing, a forward‑thinking program designed to expand access to bioprocessing education while strengthening the nation’s biotechnology workforce.

NORMAN, Okla. – University of Oklahoma College of Law graduates set a school record this year for pass rates on the Oklahoma Bar Exam. First-time examinees achieved a 98% pass rate, surpassing last year’s record-breaking rate of 94%. OU’s pass rate was also the highest among all in-state institutions. “This time last year, we celebrated a record Oklahoma bar result. This year, our graduates surpassed it,” said Anna Carpenter, dean of the OU College of Law.

OKLAHOMA CITY – On a weekday afternoon, students from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine pack into a room where friendly patients wait on adjustable beds beside modern ultrasound systems. These first-year medical students are getting their introduction to the Interprofessional Sonography (IPS) Laboratory, which opened in 2024 at the University of Oklahoma College of Allied Health.

All carried-in items will be searched by security personnel prior to entering the venues. Prohibited items must be returned to the owner's vehicle or discarded. Items left at the entrance will be discarded. Any unlawful items are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of such items is subject to arrest. It is still illegal to carry any gun on OU campuses and clinics.
