Troye Sivan says his next video clip is the “gayest” of his career
roye Sivan’s new album She’s the Best arrives tomorrow, and the video for new track FF will also be released. In a post on Instagram, Sivan reflected on the upcoming video, saying, “somehow made the gayest music video of my career”. A brief snippet of the clip appears to show Sivan and a male model in a shower, followed by two shots of them in an outdoor setting. The teaser gives fans little indication of what the video’s storyline or overall concept might be.
Former bishop Christopher Saunders sentenced over sex offences
Disgraced former Catholic bishop, Christopher Saunders, has been sentence to six and half years behind bars for grooming and molesting two young Aboriginal men more than a decade ago. The District Court found him guilty of the offences in August, and today Judge Martin Flynn sentenced Saunders to a term of imprisonment. The sentence was backdated to 12 August 2026, and he will be eligible for parole after four and half years. Saunders is now 76 years old.
Court hears that Lamarre-Condon had access to police bullets
Beau Lamarre-Condon may have had access to ammunition through his attendance at a police firearms training exercise. Lamarre-Condon, 31, is standing trial accused of shooting Jesse Baird and his partner Luke Davies with his police-issued firearm at Baird’s Paddington home on 19 February 2024. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and one count of aggravated break and enter.
Scruff owners buy rival app Growlr
Perry Street Software (PSS), which describes itself as the world’s largest independent queer app company and publisher of SCRUFF and Jack’d, has announced it has acquired Growlr, a leading social networking app for bears and their admirers. PSS plans to make a multi-million-dollar, multi-year investment in Growlr to completely rebuild the app, modernise its design and significantly expand its presence within the GBTQ+ bear community.
Scheme to remove historical homosexual defence service convictions launched
Current and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel can now apply to have historical convictions relating to consensual same-sex conduct extinguished from their service records. Until 1992, consensual homosexual activity could be prosecuted as a service offence under Australian military discipline law.
