Ozy (styled as OZY) is an American media and entertainment company launched in September 2013 by Carlos Watson and Samir Rao. It is headquartered in Mountain View, California, with an additional office in New York City. Following a scandal concerning executive misbehavior and exaggerated user engagement metrics reported upon by The New York Times in late September 2021, Ozy's board of directors announced on October 1, 2021, that it would cease operations. However, shortly afterwards on October 4, CEO Carlos Watson announced that the company would not be closing and planned on a comeback with a severely reduced board, resulting in a confusing situation with the public and employees.
