As I’ve mentioned before, there are a number of questions on the Packers roster coming into 2026. Who’s going to step up and secure the pass rush opposite Micah Parsons? Who’s going to emerge as CB1? Will the Offensive Line find a starting 5 to keep Jordan safe? The annual shake up on Special Teams this year is the largest overhaul in recent memory. Despite all that, one question that needs no answering is who will be punting the ball. That job is locked down by Packers elite Punter, Daniel Whelan.

With the end of the offseason fast approaching, thank goodness, the number one take away from the Packers offseason is the team has identified their core. The Packers spent the majority of their offseason capital on extending key players rather than acquiring top free agents. The Packers extended Sean Rhyan, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and are in discussions to extend Tucker Kraft. With Love, Parsons, and Tom under long term contracts, the Packers core is clear.

Packers’ training camp is right around the corner, and with that, news outlets are starting to come out with their preseason player rankings. Now, I know these rankings are not worth getting all hot and bothered about, but the people who ranked the NFL’s top 10 quarterbacks made themselves look ridiculous when they left Jordan Love off the list.

We’ve entered the part of the NFL calendar that is typically dominated by “lists”. Without training camp and notable trades and signings, the football media turns to ranks and lists of players for the upcoming season. The most notable is the NFL100, a list of the “top 100 players” in the NFL as voted on by the players. ESPN has similarly put out positional top 10 rankings based on voting from coaches and executives. The NFL 100 had Jordan Love at 72. They have Zay Flowers at 71.

When the Packers signed former Vikings DT Javon Hargrave, it was one that made sense for the team. A veteran, who has experience and some familiarity with new Packers defensive coordinator Jonathon Gannon. Hargrave just happened to be released from the Vikings and the Packers wasted no time in signing the 33-year old veteran. The Packers will need some contribution from Hargrave as their defensive front is looking for someone other than Devonte Wyatt to create interior pressure.

The NFL’s Top 100 list began in 2011 as a televised lead up to the following season, and features a grouping of top players that are voted on by their peers.
