Lubrizol, together with Grasim Industries Limited, inaugurated a Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) resin manufacturing facility in Vilayat, Gujarat. According to the company, the new plant, along with the recently enhanced CPVC compounding capacity at Lubrizol’s Dahej facility, creates one of India’s most scalable and integrated CPVC manufacturing footprints, reinforcing leadership in high-performance plumbing and piping solutions.

Advanced Polymer Coatings (APC) is partnering with Albert Invent (AI) to advance and scale its modern R&D infrastructure. According to APC, the company is implementing Albert’s AI-native operating system (OS) for chemistry and materials science to centralize experimental data, capture institutional knowledge, and enable more efficient collaboration across research teams. Stahl, a provider of speciality coatings for flexible materials, has signed an agreement to acquire the graphics coatings business of Weilburger Coatings in Brazil. This expansion follows earlier ones in Germany and Turkey. According to the company, Brazil, and the wider Latin American region, represent attractive growth markets, particularly in segments such as food, beverage, and consumer packaging.

WACKER officially opened a new production site for silicones in Karlovy Vary, the company’s second site in the Czech Republic. “Karlovy Vary is an important pillar for our silicone activities in Europe and a central building block in our specialties strategy”, said WACKER executive board member Christian Kirsten at the opening ceremony.

On July 11, the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act — a landmark bipartisan housing package that ACA championed — became law. ACA had actively supported and advocated for legislation that will expand and preserve the country’s housing supply, improve housing affordability, and drive job growth.

ACA recently released a new Product Category Rule (PCR) for Metal Coil and Extrusion Coatings. ACA initiated development of this new PCR in concert with NSF International, an independent organization that facilitates standards development, product certification, testing, auditing, education, and risk management for public health and the environment.
