Rumors point to new 5G MacBooks nearing Mass Production and Apple’s AI plans are falling further behind the competition
Mark Gurman’s Sunday Newsletter pointed to the first batch of Mac laptops equipped with M5 chips and the next generation of monitors are nearing mass production. Sources revealed that Apple's next generation of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air along with two new Mac monitors are nearing mass production. These devices are scheduled to be launched between the end of this year and Q1 2026. Bloomberg covered this subject matter in greater detail back on July tenth.
The EU Patent Office Granted Apple 31 Design Patents covering the iPhone 17 Air and Pro models
On July 26, Patently Apple posted a design patent report covering Vision Pro, EnergyKit and more. In that report we noted that Apple had filed 31 additional design patents with the “graphics” not revealed. While we speculated that this was reserved for the coming iPhone 17 lineup, we weren’t able to guarantee it. On Friday, Sept 26, the EU Design Patent Office released the images for those 31 mystery designs that were indeed all related to covering every angle of the iPhone 17 Air and 17 Pro/Max.
